montagedecor Yes it is “monkey pod” I have one. Also called Acacia wood, Samoan, Raintree. Someone went through Hawaii in 1800s planted 2 seeds. The tree is Mimosa, pink powder puffs. There was one on my street as a kid. When it rains the leaves close so base can get water, so Raintree.
