Stunning hand carved Mother of Pearl cameo that depicts a Greek Goddess or warrior Still on its original hand made lace belt Antique/Victorian Cameo piece is 3in x 2in There were a few other pieces found with it, that will be included with the purchase, as I think they should stay together! juliekattke Beautiful! It’s definitely hand-carved out of mother-of-Pearl (MOP)….and features the profile of a Greek goddess or warrior (judging from the headband on the person). I love that it’s still on the original lace belt. To me, this piece is much older than regular vintage. It definitely looks antique.

juliekattke I would guess Victorian age by the simple hardware and rivets holding the buckle together. If it were mine, I’d price it at $200 to start with. Especially since it’s handmade. That will leave you some wiggle room.

juliekattke @jrust8 oh wow- if there’s other matching pieces that go with this, keep them together! Sell them as a set! You can fetch a higher price for sets because buyers love it when things go together. It’s always rare for old pieces to stay with their partner pieces. Put it all together and list for $300 👍

juliekattke @jrust8 oh wow! So that circle buckle is so the person can switch it out with the cameo buckle….I would bet the circle one was for casual dress and the cameo was for formal attire. That’s how it was back then….women would have one casual dress and one fancy dress. One pair of casual shoes, one fancy, etc. And that fabric piece is a collar insert to turn a casual top into a fancy one! It definitely adds to the authenticity of this collection.
