betty_sosebee did you see the urban arc corelle in my closet, I need to sell that if you know someone
Apr 18Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @betty_sosebee not seeing those damn it those canisters you're talking about can you tag me in them and there's a couple things in your closet I love but my mortgage payment is coming up soon and I'm hustling to make that the only reason I bought those mugs was because I needed the green one to finish the set so I talked to my friend who loves them into going have these on them with me. and super sad the sifter sold
Apr 18Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 pretty, but I think that is a pump, I am looking for one that pours.
Apr 19Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar that's what I figured I've had them in the past I had a Forever Yours at one point I see them quite a bit if I see them I'll take a picture and send it to you if you like it I can pick it up the other option is I do have a Cornflower percolator that doesn't have any of the insides missing all the percolating parts it sell it to you for cheap if that would work but I think you're looking for something a little bit more decorative
Apr 19Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 what size and/or number is the corning coffee pot? Does it have a lid? I love the corning coffee pots! I am more looking for keeping the coffee warm without having to use a warmer, was hoping the insulated carafe would keep it warm longer than the coffee pot. If you do run onto one let me know!
Apr 20Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar I have 4the 1 missing insides is e1210. 10cup it has a lid but when I went to go check it I realized it is it the correct lid and it would not keep things hot I'll put a picture of it up in a little bit but if you're interested I I probably have a lid that would work and look nice somewhere in the house I had a cookie jar missing a lid and I kept buying the wrong size
Apr 20Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar also I need to go to Ballard today so I might check the Goodwill there at the star really nice one and they might have a thermos there
Apr 20Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 sounds good I would be willing to spend up to $15 for one. Hubby texted me that the last package from you has been delivered, I will open it up and check it when I get home. Probably won’t be able to check messages until then. Thanks!

lumchar @pinupthrift79 wouldn’t let me reply on the other thread. I travel 35 miles to work and pass three gas stations. Yesterday morning all three were $3.99. Last night two had raised the price to $4.05. What is the price your way?
Apr 21Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar average $4.80 for the cheap stuff
Apr 21Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar premium is $5.30ish deisel 5.79
Apr 21Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 diesel here is still under $5. It will probably get worse before it gets better…blah.
Apr 21Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 Wanted to let you know that I won’t be able to check comments as fast as I usually do for the next week or so. My daughter’s refrigerator water line busted during the night 2 nights ago and flooded the kitchen, utility room and living room then went through the floor into the basement, big mess. I am keeping my year old granddaughter and she is in constant motion, so I am not able to get online as often. I definitely want the three lids and material.
Apr 22Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 still have my granddaughter and the contractors just got the walls and floors dried out so it looks like she will be staying with me for a while longer. She is a whirlwind! I don’t see how I got anything done when my kids were little! If you get a chance this week make a bundle for the bread loaf lid, the a 9 c lids and material. Any luck with a thermos. Thanks
May 01Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar well you were younger and they were your kids not your grandkids so they probably didn't get away with as much. since I never had kids I could be wrong but it seems like kids nowadays are surrounded by constant stimulation\entertainment. life's got to be way more exciting for a one-year-old now than when we were kids with our what maybe a half an hour of TV a week no computers, boring toys& and adults that hardly paid attention to us LOL
May 01Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 you are so right. She has me wrapped around her little finger and I definitely let her get by with way more than I would have done with my kids…lol. Correct on the older part too, I take a nap when she does! Toys are a lot better now, I enjoy them too.
May 01Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar I'm definitely jealous of little kids toys they're so cool now. I grew up with dolls that weren't allowed to be played with. but it cracks me up how extreme everyone is about parental control ratings for movies now I think if any of the movies that I grew up watching as a small child came out now Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, return of Oz, Legend they probably be rated R
May 01Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar haven't had any luck on the carafe I haven't had much money lately so I haven't really been out looking like I once did. The only one I found was a Christmas one so far and I've been looking for the small handle lids for you that's why I haven't listed those items yet
May 01Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 I am not in a hurry so no pressure from me. If you want to do a listing for the material and the loaf pan lid to send now to bring some money in and do another listing later for the lids that would be ok with me. I totally agree about parents attitudes about movies and they don’t seem to be concerned about video games!
May 01Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar my ex had two amazing boys 7&11. the dad\X was awful when they come visit for the weekend all they would do was YouTube play video games have their face in their phone all night long. they almost didn't seem like children to me and it made me sad and he never interacted with them. I was the first person played board games with them we built forts in my entire living room taught them to make sushi, we made ugly xmas sweaters. it was so fun to show them how to be kids
May 01Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar it's not that I don't have money I'm making sales although not as many as it's been slow. But it's somehow I'm stuck in a routine where the package aren't delivered until Friday so I can't get the money until usually Tuesday at that point and then the post office is slow and they keep losing packages so it's like I'll have $400 pending but it trickles in it like $16 here and $16 there instead of one large sum. and OfferUp has been picking up I've made a couple big sales wl
May 01Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 sorry to hear about your step kids, glad they had you for a while to get off the electronics! I played games with my kids and when we all get together we still play card games. Hubby wasn’t really into board games but we could usually get him to join us for Clue. Glad you are having luck with your local sales!
May 01Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar I love clue. Cards Against humanity is a fun adult one if you've never played it .actually still see the kids every once in awhile I became pretty good friends with their mom she's my massage therapist now LOL
May 02Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 never heard of that game, will look it up. Life is funny sometimes, glad you get to see the boys occasionally.
May 02Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar you need three people it's more fun the more people you have the point of the game is to be politically incorrect, offensive& risque. a card gets laid down it'll say something like My Country Tis of Thee sweet land of blank& then you choose from your deck a card that you think completes the sentence that the person judging will find the funniest so you could lay down a card that says obesity not a game for people that don't have a dark sense of humor
May 02Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 It sounds like a lot of fun!
May 02Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar if you think you ever have an occasion where you have at least two adults around that would also not be offended by a game like that I'll send you some of mine they release new decks every year like 20 cards I think I have at least two thousand at this point and I never have parties anymore so I haven't played it in Forever
May 02Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 I was telling my daughter about the game and she has some of the cards. Her and her hubby are big game players. She didn’t think I would have wanted to play so she hadn’t ever brought them over…lol. Thanks for the offer!
May 02Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar I'm heading out to run some errands and I'm going to hit the Value Village and a couple thrift stores cuz I'm having withdrawals I haven't been anywhere in weeks I will look for small handle lids and a carafe either way I'm going to make your listing for you tonight
May 03Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 that sounds great! Have fun.
May 03Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar halfway through my shopping experience I ended up with the worst migraine of my life and while trying to get home and not puke in my car my sciatica that hasn't talked to me in like 3 years decided to kick my butt so I'm not sure I will be working tonight if I can't sleep I will get that listed for you if not I will do it first thing in the morning and I know you've told me before but what do you use the fabric for?
May 04Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar I have a small patch of Bambi fabric that you can have if you could use it it might be enough to make something cute for your granddaughter depending on what you sew
May 04Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 oh no a migraine. Do you have meds or take excederine migraine? My mother used to get them and my daughter does now. Has since she was a teenager. The pill the dr prescriped cost$100 a pill, my daughter said it worked by knocking her out for 24 hours. The excederine works and doesn’t make her comatose. Hope you are feeling better. No hurry on the listing take care of yourself!
May 04Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 I quilt. If you don’t have a use for the bambi material I would use it. I have made I Spy floor quilts,I use up my small pieces doing that.
May 04Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar I started getting them my freshman year in high school and they prescribed me Midrin and Tylenol with codeine. Different times right? The matron worked really well except for they never gave me any warnings on it and I drank half of a beer at a high school party after taking Midrin 8 hours earlier and almost died Excedrin Migraine always worked for me except for I had to take it before onset so I had a bleeding ulcer by the time I was 21
May 04Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar I've never been convinced that they were migraines I don't have an aura, any angle it all from the waist up made it a thousand times more intense so you'd always see me sleeping in a corner with my dresser propping me up. They stopped during lockdown pretty much what I'm getting now is more intense in a migraine and I had something to do with my sinuses it's actually quite worrisome
May 04Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar so yesterday I found a CorningWare Shadow Iris 1.5 range top pot and I didn't buy it because they wanted $15for it and I really can't see that I would make a profit cuz it probably would only sell for around 20 still tempted to go back and get it though I know a couple people that would want it
May 04Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar I put three pictures up for you in this listing. I'm always buying fabric for background on my listings or to make bows for orders ...lot of times I get it home & the fabric does not work for photographs or I I have way too much so I'm going to be donating or a couple of them selling thought I'd give you the option if you wanted any of them they'd make padding also for your Lids! I'm going to be starting your listing here shortly
May 04Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 My daughter sees auras and sometimes parts of her vision disappears. Her first migraine was in school during a test and she looked and half of the teacher’s face was missing, she freaked out. We all thought she had a stroke. Her pediatrician knew exactly what it was because his wife had the same type of migraines. Yours doesn’t sound like my daughters at all. I know a lot of the times they are triggered by stress and you have had a lot happen lately.
May 04Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 thrifting is so addictive…lol. It is so hard to pass things up.
May 04Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar I added one last photo that kind of told what material the fabric was on the free ones. the top one I didn't have a room to add description it's a weird material it's an off-white with kind of a purple accents and it's texturized in really thin I feel like it's kind of a crepe material
May 04Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 I don’t need the star wars or motorcycle ones, but anything else that you want to get rid of, I can probably use. Let me know how much you want for the material you don’t need or can’t use and we can go from there.
May 04Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 oops we crossed post. I am an old country girl, I can find a use for anything, so if you want to get rid of any of the materials and use them as padding, I will find a use for it. Thanks
May 04Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 My son n law is coming over To see my granddaughter and I am going out to work in my garden, so I may not get back online until late or even tomorrow. I love my granddaughter but we need a break from each other…lol. Their insurance said it could take 5 more weeks before the house is fixed back together. It is going to be a long 5 weeks.
May 04Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar they are all free except for this Star Wars motorcycle and Mary Engelbreit which I probably will keep the Mary Engelbreit to sell. I'll just put whatever I can fit in box when i ship your order.the bird one so pretty you'll probably love it
May 04Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 sounds great! Guess what my daughter called and is headed to her kitchen-less and living room less home because she has a migraine. She called when she got home and had to pull over twice on her 20 minute drive to throw up. I feel for you guys, I never suffered from one.
May 04Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar then you're very lucky they are excruciatingly the only way I've ever been able to explain it is like somebody is standing behind you beating you in the head with a baseball bat to continuously. then when they're finally gone your body and your mind it's so weak and exhausted
May 04Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar does your daughter use the microwavable heating packs with the rice in them because they really really help me
May 04Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar I used to have really long skinny like at I think it's for your shoulders but I put it above my neck on my base of my skull in the back and then wrap it all the way up to my forehead and tie it there
May 04Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 I know she uses a heating pad, but I don’t know what kind. I have always been thankful I didn’t have them.
May 04Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar if she hasn't tried my message you should tell her to it's so long thin ones and you got to get one with handles and then I take one handle and I cut it so that I can tie it to the other handle and I basically make a crown out of it it just in circles all the painful areas and it's so helpful I've actually thought about putting a microwave in my room so that I don't have to go downstairs to reheat it when I need to
May 04Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 I just took a photo of the description you gave and sent it to her. I bet she will pick one up as soon as she can to have ready. She hadn’t had a migraine in a couple of years and this makes her fourth one this year.
May 04Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar pull up the store and I found this one thermos but it literally is a thermostat is not a CorningWare so if I don't hear from you I won't buy it but I'll hide it in case you want it
May 05Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 that is gorgeous! if it is in my price range with you being able to make a profit, I will take it.
May 05Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar I have to get the time to Crunch the numbers at in the selling fee and everything but it might be at the price you originally wanted to maybe even lower
May 05Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar I'm so sorry hun I don't know how I missed it the first time but the bottom has a few cracks in it I just added a photo now the inside the glass thermos part is intact and fine I'm assuming you won't want it I could see if they go a little lower on the price but I'm sorry
May 05Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 that’s ok, glad you saw it before you bought it! Thanks for looking for me, I really appreciate it! My granddaughter and I will be home all day today and I should be able to check my messages fairly often if you get the listing done. Thanks again!
May 05Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar I will find you a crap at some point it'll be better than that one too I'm sure. I m running your Fabrics through my dryers on Steam sanitize cycle since my washing machine is still broken and if I hand wash it you'll have to wait like a week for it to dry and I'm hoping to get it in the mail for you today
May 05Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 thank you!! let's hope this package won't give us any trouble!!
May 05Reply
pinupthrift79

May 05Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar so I was ready like over a half an hour early to take your package to the post but my printer it's really difficult to print things because I don't have Wi-Fi and I don't have a landline and I couldn't get it to Chris Stokes it's now 1:45 post Office closes and I'm have to get gas first but I'm racing to try to get it there in time cuz I want to take it to the good post office not the one near my house so cross your fingers
May 07Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 how did it work out?? Just got a chance to get online.
May 07Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar I got there with like 3 minutes to spare I haven't seen if it's tracking or not I'll check that now I hope you don't mind I unloaded my sewing box extras on you and the fabric came in handy I put lid bubble and cardboard taped to each side of lid then a portion of fabric in between each one. hey check out the last photo that I just added have you ever seen anything like that before
May 07Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar after I dropped your package off I went into the thrift store the two closest to me to check out a theory that the second I shipped your package I would find a thermos for you but I only found one that was plain and no pattern
May 07Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 is that a springform pan? I have never seen one with a lid. Very pretty. Your theory was a good one, surprised it didn’t work! Guess what, for the first time in about 6 months I am going to go thrifting. I live about 40 minutes, any direction, from a decent size town so don’t get to antique/thrift stores very often. Headed to the “big city” 1 1/2 hours away and hope to hit 3 stores and some yard sales. If you want me to keep an eye out for something your looking for let me know
May 07Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar I collect creepy clowns vintage but they have to be creepy not necessarily scary really want a cookie jar I found my second top favorite not too long ago but it was just his bottom half no head head vases and rare blue carnival glass is pretty much what I collect nowadays. yeah I've never that's the Corral CorningWare abundance pattern on that spring form I can't find anything like it even in another pattern at first I thought maybe it was a oven cover but it's not
May 07Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar can you put some pictures up for you just to see their cool I'm going through all my stuff looking for my Vaseline uranium glass for a customer and I've been hitting everything and I have a few custard and some original jadeite pre for 1940 which had uranium in it I got to put a picture up it's so cool
May 07Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar pics are up! have fun I hope you find lots and lots of good stuff
May 07Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 I will look for creepy clown items especially a cookie jar. I have not seen any, BUT I wasn’t looking for anything like that and could have just looked over them. My local auction house started online auctions during the pandemic and about 6 months ago they sold about 40 lots of vaseline uranium glass. It is pretty when it glows! A couple of weeks ago they had around 100 lots of fenton. Most of the time they sell junk…lol, but occasionally they have cool stuff.
May 07Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 on the blue carnival glass do you do the blue iridescent? My daughter collects that. She mostly has the grape design Indiana glass, but she has a few fenton. I found her a iridescent blue fenton cat ring holder at an auction last summer.
May 07Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar the great pattern is all right I have a few pieces. the ring holders sounds interesting I've never seen anything like .that I added a few pictures of my crazy collections I have more I have a blue canister also the strawberry is probably my favorite. I really like the smoke Carnival Glass to but it's hard to find I'm desperate for an inexpensive blue Carnival Glass egg dish cuz I put my clip-on earrings in them and I'm using a boring green one right now
May 07Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar oh and I added a picture at the end of this gorgeous wine glass that I found yesterday at Goodwill like a mushroom I think could be a jellyfish it's really cool but I can't find anything like it I don't know what it is
May 07Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 OMG I love that strawberry!! And that mushroom wine glass is super cool. Your clowns are neat! The iridescent goblets are hard to find, my daughter has 4 and we have been searching for years. She has a set of 8 tumblers and the pitcher. I haven’t seen an egg dish in carnival glass in any color, but I will keep an eye out. Is the vase the smoke color, could just be the lighting but doesn’t look blue. I have a miniature hen on the nest.
May 07Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar yes the vase is the smoke. I don't think I paid more than $6 for any one of those Carnival Glass items what case is she looking for more of the glasses cuz anything pretty much set great pattern I'd be willing to sell
May 07Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar LOL you must be my lucky charm you got me thinking about my cookie jar and so I was looking on Posh doing the just in Search and somebody had just listed one for $25 they're normally hundreds so I just bought my cookie jar he's so creepy I can't wait now I have to sell the 2 jars ive been using
May 07Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 that is wonderful news!!! congratulations. I found 2 clown cookie jars but they weren't creepy! I found my carafe. it is a farm scene, wasn't one I would have thought about but when I saw it I loved it. so we both did good today!
May 07Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @lumchar you saw two clown cookie jars in all my time for a thing I've only ever seen one and it was just his bottom half and then a carousel one that's it never anything else. I just had an offer on my silver charm bracelet and it's a major low-ball the still a really good profit but I could really use the money but it's way less than its value. And I haven't had any other offers but she's offering $100 for it and it's like 36 sterling silver charms and the bracelet
May 07Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 yes I saw two. One was a sad face clown and the other was a clown but he reminded me of wimpy from popeye. They were both in the same booth and there was a lot of clown figurines. I would have probably never even gave that booth a notice before! Did you sell the bracelet? 36 charms is a lot!
May 09Reply
lumchar
lumchar @pinupthrift79 I love the package and the packing material especially the bambi material. My granddaughter will love a quilt with deer and bunny rabbit scenes. The Sesame Street material is adorable. The sewing box was a surprise, I can always use thread and I have never had a hook and eye set, but I know I will be able to use it for something. Thanks so much! I love the bread lid, WOW!

Jan 07Reply
pinupthrift79
pinupthrift79 @cassieleigh1256 sorry. I don't believe so...I've never actually heard of it before. I tried to look it up....is it just lines/ rings? I only stock patterns
Jan 07Reply

fralees
fralees @pinupthrift79 beautiful pieces. i am so happy I came across your closet in my feed. I just inherited all my grandmother china, Pyrex, Marigold glasses, green depression glasses etc. I am in Florida and not many people antique here anymore so I figured I would try my luck on posh. I have some matching items to some of the stuff you have listed (haven't posted yet) but will today.
