I'm not sure where it's suppose to light up, but it must be a small piece. I cannot confirm if light function is working.... selling as is. Takes 4 AA batteries (not included). Train runs well on its own on the track, however it struggles or doesn't work once more cars are added to the locomotive. Please be aware of this before purchase. We think something may be wrong with the motor. Displayed for one Christmas as far as use. This goes up to $300 online. Wonderful display piece. Item is not able to be bundled as it weighs 5.3 lbs.
