HMT Pilot Watch

This is a classic everyday watch from India. Affordable but stylish, with a classic military-inspired look, HMT Pilots are inexpensive but reliable. You should know that I don't know this watch's service history; there's a strong likelihood it has been heavily repaired or "refurbished" with spare parts. It's an old watch and there are enough parts out there that it could conceivably be made of all-genuine, if not necessarily original, pieces. You should also know there is some dust trapped under the crystal, which is annoying. And finally, you should know that these watches usually had the luminescent numbers painted by hand in the factory, sometimes imperfectly. The "12" on this one is a bit sloppy, and I suspect that someone tried to re-lume the digits at home later on in the watch's life. I personally think it's part of the watch's story, but I get that not everyone is as sentimental as I am. Extremely cool, sort of atomic-age inspired, the black dial and groovy hands evoke a rocket ship in space. The red second hand makes the whole thing pop. I get the impression this watch is probably 40 or 50 years old, but don't know for sure. Case size about 35mm. Watches were smaller back then. All reasonable offers are seriously considered. I'm busy and can't get more photos at the moment but will definitely add more if anyone shows interest.
