@drstephaniej hi there! I word it that way because each brand has their own fit models which is how they create their sizing chart. This changes sometimes season to season or once every decade. As a fashion seller I default the accuracy of fit to the measurements not the tag on the item. Simply compare the measurements of your best fitting dress to the measurements of this one.
