NIB Asian Square Lacquered Plates Trays Black Red

This is a set of 5 black and red lacquer style square plates or trays. The top is textured with a floral design. They are new in box with a tag (see last picture). I don't know what these are made from. At first I thought wood but I think they may be a plastic. I'm just not sure. 10.25" square. Condition - Excellent. New in box. X Checked
