Vtg Patriotic US flag 70s stars and stripes handmade pullover sweater M/L

This is an amazing pullover sweater, probably from the 1970s and I'm pretty sure it is handknit, handmade. Red, white an blue US flag style sweater. 1976 was the US bicentennial year and my guess is this was made then. Found at auction. No tags or labels. No pockets. I think this is acrylic yarn. I have not washed it but it's clean and would probably wash in the machine.
