I made these earrings with gemstones that I purchased from UK. These are not regular machine cut beads. They are old-school detail cut beads with many tiny facets and puffy shapes that bring out the maximum sparks from the high quality gemstones. The green ones are peridot. The orange ones are Oregon sunstone. All the stones are 100% natural untreated unheated undyed. The metal components are 14K yellow gold filled.

@leoswife peridot is definitely one of my top 5 favorite gemstones. Love the vivid apple green color

@madebyrita You are a gifted artist in the jewelry trade. I’m reminded of Alexis Bittar who began his jewelry empire at age 9 selling pieces made from moms vintage ‘20’s jewelry! On the sidewalks of Brooklyn NY! Amazing artistry right up until last year when he retired and sold to “of all stores” Brooks Bros. I later heard they are filing for bankruptcy and Nieman Marcus has stepped up! I have some old AB pieces, some I never wear are on Poshmark.

@leoswife thank you! I like vintage style jewelry too! Nowadays people don’t tend to dress up anymore. What a pity. Neiman Marcus filed for bankruptcy in 2020. Before the virus hit, Neiman Marcus actually just opened a brand new location in Manhattan (Hudson yard). I went there once. It was fabulous. Unfortunately only several months after opening they are closed permanently due to the bankruptcy. A private equity firm bought up Neiman Marcus and liquidated it

@madebyrita Thank you for bringing me up to to date. I didn’t know Nieman Marcus was caput completely. I shopped there in New Jersey only when they’d have sales, but was always a thrill because their merchandise was always fabulous up to date fashion. Yes, there is the mindset today of casual, comfy...it started with the jeans rage, I believe!
