@deborahsykes240 Vaya hiking shoes.
They do have a protective mudguard around the base of the foot, it protects the lateral and medial sides from muddy trails.

What I’m asking for is if they are rated is waterproof on the whole shoe? I wear these shoes and have both the GTX waterproof version and the non-waterproof version.
If they are the Gore-Tex waterproof version, it would say that on the outside of the shoe near where are you insert your foot
