Vintage 1980s Arnold Scaasi Boutique One-Shoulder Point D’Espirit Tulle Gown

Vintage 1980s Scaasi Boutique by Arnold Scaasi for Saks Fifth Avenue one-shoulder point d’espirit gown with tiered and ruffled full tulle skirt featuring a polka-dot pattern, and a black bodice with a draped shoulder overlay and black crystal embellishments. This is labeled as a size 10, though I believe it would work better for a contemporary US 8. Laying flat the bust is about 17 inches across but also has darting. Shoulder to hem, the gown is about 58 inches long. There is an interior elastic strap around the waist with a hook and eye style closure that helps keep the dress in place and cinched in. This is a vintage piece that does show some wear, and could use some tailoring - right now the underlying elastic shoulder strap that lays under the draped overlay is safety pinned in place, and there is also some wear to the interior fabric (see photos). The exterior is gorgeous and in good vintage condition, though.
