Vintage East Germany Beret Style side cap Schiffen Field Cap/Hat Enlisted Size 5

Done my best to look up and research this hat- though I am not an expert. Gray material stamped inside with NVA and the size:57 (cm, I believe) Preowned but in good condition. Features a stitched patch on front. Could possibly be an original side cap of Nationale Volksarmee or People's Army of the former German Democratic Republic. Interesting historical piece.
