Vintage Talbots Sheath Dress

Turning the page on a vintage dress doesn't necessarily mean you are sacrificing your standards in quality. If a dress is well made it will remain in tack for decades to come. Styles can come and go quality but is a constant variable in fashion. Another advantage to owning a vintage dress is the color pallet. Shades tend to change over the years and the products used to create the mirid of colors run dry. It would seem the color of this dress may just be one shining example. It was so hard to capture in the light as if it was running from my lens. A deceitful trick played by too many items from my closet. I would describe it as cross between a coral and pink. Both are struggling against the other. The fabric is textured with bidirectional slants which cover the entire dress. They added faux gold links on each side, at the midsection to cinch the waist. An old trick to enhance the waist and one that works. I believe I can see your past in the face of a vintage dress Poshmark. Please keep them safe so I can learn more. Shoulder to hem 37”. Shoulder to Shoulder 16 1/2”. Waist 16 1/2”. Hips 21”. Sleeves 7”.
