ambarabella86 I am a victim of fraud. It is a federal crime to commit fraud. Warn the Posh community if you, or someone you know was frauded. Poshmark doesn't need scammers on their site. We together, by looking out for each other, can help prevent unnecessary pain by being scammed. Be safe, and happy Poshing!

amy_janis I just read this & so sorry this happened to you! That makes me so angry that there's some of these slimy thieves every time I post something over a $100 they just slither on in & want to email them immediately. Beware of that !
Sep 03Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @amy_janis thank you so much for your information! Yes, the con artist are getting smarter. I have read on here that customers are buying and opening up returns. They return an entirely different item then purchased. I really recommend no one buy off site especially these days!
Sep 03Reply
amy_janis
amy_janis @ambarabella86 wow. How terrible! Are they actually getting away with it??
Sep 03Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @amy_janis I read several comments from sellers on Poshmark here buyer committed fraud and received refund. Of course, we have items that are over $500, it goes through Poshmark concierge. It makes it harder for a scam artist to pull that, when it's already been inspected by their authentication Department.

amy_janis At all boils down to if you think on a criminal level then it's easy for someone to think of things like that I can't even imagine waking up one morning and saying how can I Ruin someone's day and these people live for it. Horrific
Sep 04Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @amy_janis There are many buyer loop holes in which the scammers exploit. It's not common but does happen. Even sellers post pics of an item and send a different item then what was described. Fraud will happen. It's a risk we all take selling or buying. Good news is on here we can take steps to minimize the impact and frauds!

ambarabella86 @amy_janis I am concerned about this up coming season. I don't want any person going through what I did. I had theft committed. I've learned since then what I can do legally. I want to share to all on here be very careful. Take good pictures package items in front of post Master of high value and do not trade with people you don't know. 💞
Sep 04Reply
amy_janis
amy_janis @ambarabella86 Thank you yes I've never traded with anyone I'm not even sure how that works that would be so easy to send your item and then get nothing and return you're just setting yourself up I would think there's nothing I want that badd that I would have to trade if I want something I just run out and buy it myself lol

ambarabella86 Please reach out to @glamourgurl7 If you would like to be in the loop of trade activity and possible scams. There has been a spike in fraud from even trusted Poshmark traders. Honestly, I would not trade with someone who has it on their closet that they do not trade back. When you do trade backs you are giving a guarantee that the item that you are trading is in exact condition that you are describing.
Feb 27Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 As a seller, I stand behind my items. I have never had a case where I've had to do a trade back, however if my partner was upset and crying or even dissatisfied, I stand behind my items. Please be careful out there when trading. There is no way to protect yourself outside of filing reports and taking legal auction. It's not only costly, but it's extremely stressful. There are ways to prevent scams and fraud by being as educated as possible. Vet the person before trusting them.

kharjo2983 Needing help reporting a scammer! A bag I was eyeing on Poshmark AND turned around and purchased outside of posh is now back on the site for sale. PLEASE somebody help me! Not sure what I’m doing. I’ve reported the seller and the item being sold but nothing has happened yet.
Mar 16Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @kharjo2983 If you report the listing, it usually comes down within 24 to 48 hours. use the little flag icon or you can go to the top of a listing to where the dots are and report. Poshmark will remove it.
Mar 16Reply
ambarabella86

sashamwilliams I think someone is trying to scam me. They want to buy my $60 dress and said they’d add in an additional $70 to hold the item for them. They said they were going to send me a check for $1,000 and wanted me to send back the rest of the money to them after my check cleared through my bank account and such. It sounded sketchy asf so I looked up scams and found out that I’m dealing with a scammer. What should I do or who should I call? I’m scared I gave them my address, name and phone number.

Apr 10Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @gracie2318 Hi, I'm sorry to hear that inauthentic bag somehow got through Poshmarks concierge. They usually have stellar experts. If you have the proof that it was a fake, please submit that to Poshmark customer support and the Poshmark concierge department. Show them that you've had it evaluated and it came back that it's not real. Sometimes mistakes do happen but very rarely when you're dealing with that department.
Apr 10Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @gracie2318 I also recommend that you contact them through all their social media like their Instagram and their Twitter. If you've already opened a case with your bank, then you've taken the steps that anybody would recommend. I'm sorry that you had a situation like this. I can imagine you're very stressed. I hope it all works out for you! 🤗

shinychae @ambarabella86 hi! I’m a victim of fraud just now! Some guy purchased a sweatshirt from me and claimed I had sent him a torn item. I never ship out torn items. He reported it and tried to return it which poshmark agreed. What can I do?
May 02Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @shinyoon Hello, I am sorry to hear that. 😢I've had faulty returns. When you receive your item take pictures of the box and pictures of opening it up. Take all pictures of the item and dispute it. If they ruined it report the buyer. from now on, please take packaging pictures. front , back, and all angles. Pics inside when packed and label. That way you have proof next time of the condition and can really fight it.
May 02Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @shinyoon Make a listing of what happened after you receive your item. I can tag ladies on unfair buyer. Poshmark usually sides with the buyer. it's hard for them to prove how it arrived. I really encourage you to take pictures of the whole process next time. I had to start after being scammed. 💕 Wishing you all the best and let us know what happened with this buyer.
May 02Reply

Is there anything else I can do? Since Poshmark did nothing to stop this person before, I doubt they will now. I am considering closing my closet, but then the scammer wins. What can I do, if anything? File police report with no name and no proof usps never processed? I have no tracking#. This person must be stopped!

The link is in comments above. You could also check contacting the local PD where she lives and finally crime report. You have absolutely a right to get a case number! finally USPS mail fraud report the link is above. I am very sorry! It is so heartbreaking when thieves steal!

ambarabella86 @yazmindelara well, you can delete the listing by hitting the flag icon. Please never give out your personal information on here! They constantly make comments below listings asking for information personal information, email addresses etc. Always treat comments as if they're suspect. There's not a whole lot you can do just make sure you don't have any further communication with that person and block them!
May 16Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @yazmindelara legitimate buyers are not going to ask you to sell it to you off-site. The whole ones that leave their email asking for you to contact them they're usually just spam. You can remove it by hitting the flag icon near the comment. I think everything will be okay, just from here on out be very careful who you speak with and give your info to.

They have to ask for permission from Poshmark. So if you shipped it the next day they shouldn't have been able to cancel. This is something that you have to contact Poshmark about. sounds like a sophisticated scam. they're back team is going to have to look into this!
May 22Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @lslovbabe Not only that if you sold it for over $500 it's going to go to Poshmark concierge first.
May 22Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @lslovbabe They should be able to intercept, which is a good thing! So if the buyer went ahead and canceled after you shipped it for some reason it canceled, it will go to Poshmark authenticate team and they can intercept it and ship it back to you. That is of course if you sold it through the site here.
May 22Reply
lslovbabe
lslovbabe @ambarabella86 thanks for quick response! Unfortunately it was under $500 instead $350 😢 so it doesn’t go to concierge. I don’t understand why poshmark will allow them to cancel after 24 hours, I googled and and read nothing about that otherwise I wouldn’t have shipped it.
May 22Reply
lslovbabe
lslovbabe @ambarabella86 I have yet to receive a response from poshmark and it’s been over 24 hours which is frustrating. 😔
May 22Reply
lslovbabe
lslovbabe @ambarabella86 their reasoning for cancel in the email was for “payment method/shipping address needs to be verified”
May 22Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @lslovbabe Contact USPS asap and do a intercept. you can create a USPS account and go to intercept package.
May 22Reply

I’ll keep you posted, thanks again for the tip!
May 22Reply

ambarabella86 @lslovbabe I'm so glad!Thank heavens! Report that scammer closet and report them online with links above online complaint once your item is returned! Yay! A happy story! I am so glad it was intercepted! ♥️🙏 Please be careful with buyers on here. It was actually poshmark's fault to allow a customer to cancel. They're not supposed to be able to cancel after 1 hour let alone 24 hours later. I'm very sorry to hear that happened and I'm just happy item will be back!

May 27Reply

From here on out don't email them. A person asking for your private information. They can message you here. Stay safe! 🤗

forestbar Daughter was being scammed by buyer. Wants to buy off site, adds more money, sends check for $1400, about $1000 over, FedEX from Coat and scrub company in Laguna, sent from S San Francisco, check from a Pest and Lawn Management Co in Davenport Fl. Phone numbers not connected. looked up lawn co and called, theu denied check was theirs but also fishy. Funny letter attached that said to text info to a number, TEXT only. That number is in Courtland VA but is a Onvoy VOIP often used for scams.

May 27Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @forestbar That's a red flag right there. Any customer wanting to pay higher by check is a fraud. Please tell your daughter not to do off site transactions. It's risky if you don't use Poshmark as the go between. Any one wanting personal information or off-site transactions is a HIGH risk. I hope your daughter didn't ship any items to this scammer. If you have a closet name of the scammer please list it.

ambarabella86 @lizzaa1 Hello, yes there's a lot of sophisticated scams going on because of the shutdowns. All you have to do is notify your bank, and watch your account. A lot of people's information is online, so a phone number and address isn't that much a personal information. Just be vigilant and watch your accounts. There's a lot of free credit reporting as well. I think you'll be fine and make sure you do all transactions through the sites and nothing off-site. 🤗
Jul 17Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @lizzaa1 I think you'll be okay, I'm glad you weren't scammed where you deposited the check. ,💕
Jul 17Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @lizzaa1 Welcome to Poshmark! Yes, as soon as you list things you'll get people that will tell you to email them. It's spam. If anyone wants to do anything outside of the site, they don't cover it. Sorry that I wasn't able to advise you previously. So when you make a listing, make sure you report the spam by clicking the flag icon. Also if a seller encouraging off-site Poshmark won't cover it. Sometimes they want to go off the site. Best to do all communication and transactions via here. 💞

saward279 Someone bought a tank from me. Its the weekend so I usually message them say thank u for your purchase, I will ship out Tues since CPost is closed but when I clicked on their profile it says User Not Found. But then I found there is a different name for her same profile and her profile comes up. She is brand new. Its a cheap shirt. Only $15. But I don't know why when I click on one of her names it says user not found. Anyways I cancelled the sale and am waiting for a reply from Posh support.
Aug 02Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @eremis I'm sorry to hear it didn't go well! If you share their closet name here, perhaps it will help people to know. It also gives them an opportunity to respond. alejandramar737 Can I really trust this app to buy??
Aug 08Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @alejandramar737 Hello👋 Welcome to Poshmark! As a standard Poshmark is a very trustworthy site to use to purchase your items. Anything over $500 goes to Poshmark concierge for a free in house authentication. If the seller does not describe the item accurately, you have up to 48 hours after you receive the item to open a case. Poshmarks very good to buyers. Please don't have hesitation with purchasing off Poshmark. Unless you are purchasing off-site.
Aug 08Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @alejandramar737 I strongly discourage anyone trying to purchase off-site. That means when people send you offers that are not on here. If you take a risk and buy off site you are NOT covered under the Poshmark guarantee. Only items bought through this site is covered by Poshmark. So if you get messages on your closet to buy somewhere else, I would delete it. They are scams messages anyways.
Aug 08Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @alejandramar737 I have made a lot of purchases over the last 3.5 years on Poshmark and I trust the site. The above warning is to help our Poshmark community prevent fraud, and how to address it if it happens.

mrs_jmichelle03 I was recently scammed, the buyer received my brand new Tory Burch purse. It was tracked and received. I never got paid for it. So I am out of money and a brand new high end hand bag. I am so devastated.
Aug 08Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @mrs_jmichelle03 Hello, I am so sorry to hear that happened to you! did the sale take place on Poshmark? I would contact and demand to speak to a Poshmark supervisor. If you have the tracking number and it was tracked to the buyer's door, then you are absolutely eligible for your release of funds. Even if they open a case saying that they didn't receive it, there are ways to track down the item. See what address it was delivered to.
Aug 08Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @mrs_jmichelle03 go to your sales history, click on the item and contact Poshmark. Select problem with existing order. Write Attention: POSHMARK SUPERVISOR. PLEASE PROVIDE THEM SCREENSHOTS FROM THE USPS WEBSITE WITH THEIR TRACKING NUMBER THAT IT WAS DELIVERED TO THE ADDRESS. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE PROOF THAT IT WAS DELIVERED TO YOUR BUYER.

I even tried to look up phone numbers to speak to someone directly and I got nothing. No one is responding to my emails. I even reached out to the police department of the addressee to file a report with them as well.
Aug 08Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @mrs_jmichelle03 How long ago did this happen? It usually takes Poshmark about 4 days to respond. did she open a case? Your buyer? If there hasn't been a case opened, then your payment will be automatically released after 4 days.
Aug 08Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @mrs_jmichelle03 If she did open a case, then it takes 48 hours to 72 hours for them to review the case. as long as it shows up on your sales history as delivered, you'll be okay. It takes them a few days to release the payment. Now, if she has opened a case then it takes a couple days for them to review it and then they will get back to you. I think it's stupid that they don't have a customer support number but don't worry they will reach back out to you.

mrs_jmichelle03 The buyer reached out after she received the package saying she didn’t receive it that’s not her address. I said it’s your responsibility to update that info before ordering. I just simply used the shipping label that was sent to me from Poshmark and shipped the package. She deleted our conversation that was under the post she even took her likes back from all the items she liked in my closet. I didn’t see that until after I shipped the package
Aug 08Reply
ambarabella86

Aug 08Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @mrs_jmichelle03 Oh wow! I am really sorry to hear this! Please keep contacting Poshmark! Just hang in there and please keep me updated what happens! Once the situation is resolved, please feel free to leave that buyer closet name on here. That way we know!
Aug 08Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @mrs_jmichelle03 You know it's crazy about my package not being delivered is that it came from Poshmark authenticate team 55 minutes away from me where I live. It's been two weeks and I still have not received my package. I am a seller as well, so I know how frustrated you are! I had a buyer recently do this to me! However, I was able to open a case with a different site so I was able to get my money released to me showing that it had tracked to their house.
Aug 08Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @mrs_jmichelle03 Please keep us updated about whether Poshmark honors your sale, and if they don't turn them into the BBB and write about it online. also, try contacting Poshmark via Instagram, Twitter, and the emails you've been doing it through. They will contact you back if you post it on their Twitter page! show your screenshot that it was delivered and say Poshmark has yet to pay you! I guarantee you someone from Poshmark will reach back out to you
Aug 08Reply
ambarabella86

Aug 08Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @mrs_jmichelle03 For the future always take pre-packaging pictures. Always take pictures of the item in box with the label taped on it the day it ships. Screenshot all conversations. I guarantee you though if you reach out to their Twitter and Instagram they will contact you. You're right, it is not your responsibility if she's claiming it went to a different address. You sent it to the address on file. Also pull up your old label and show Poshmark that you sent it to address on file.

ambarabella86 @cherie1220pitt Did you reach out to the seller? Maybe they didn't know it was fake too. However, if they blocked you and never responded to your concern they knew. Leave their closet name here so other buyers can go forward with caution. Turn it in to Poshmark so they can review the situation. I am sorry that happened. Aug 14Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @cherie1220pitt A good seller will always communicate with their buyer. Next time check out feedbacks and really evaluate the items you get from any site especially Posh since their refund policy is 3 days of item received. I hope you report the closet of the seller by going to top right hand of the closet and click report closet. Also email Poshmark and tell them what happened. They may offer a credit since you're new. Best of luck beautiful! 🙏

Aug 14Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @bakerbri85 Hi, so what my understanding is is that you purchased an item via Poshmark and the seller is saying that they shipped it? and that your address is invalid? Poshmark guarantees their items. So, after 7 days you can cancel the order if it doesn't show delivered, doesn't show any tracking, and you should write an email to Poshmark letting them know what's going on That way they can investigate it.

ambarabella86 @bakerbri85 Please make sure though that if it does arrive and it's not as described, do not accept the order. You go to your purchase history and you open a case. You can go to your purchase item and send a email to Poshmark letting them know your concerns. That way they can see the sale and investigate the issue. If you purchase the item off Poshmark, they will take care of you. Make sure you never purchase things off site They do not protect you if you do.

celmaystermegg
celmaystermegg POSHMARK is not a place to sell your items. bundles purchases especially. buyers purchase two or more items, claim one is defective return one of even a piece of paper and get all of their money back . as a seller i sent photos and i even have a video of me opening the package and only finding one item and poshmark never responded to my case and returned all of the buyers money. I am out items and the money and poshmark does not care. If I do not get poshmark to respond i am going public
Aug 18Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @celmaystermegg Hello I am so sorry to hear that. It usually takes Poshmark to respond a few days when there's a case open. She has to ship back your items or she doesn't get a full return
Aug 18Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @celmaystermegg Make sure you contact Poshmark on their Twitter and their Instagram accounts. explain the situation of what happened and when the sale date was & your closet name. demand that somebody gets back to you ASAP! You can also say you're going to go to the BBB if they do not. According to their rules, if a customer is not happy they have to open a case. Poshmark reviews it
Aug 18Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @celmaystermegg They will determine what to do next which is usually the buyer has to return the item in the same condition as it was sent. If there's an issue with the condition, they do not receive a full refund. Make sure you try their other IG and Twitter account. Keep emailing them too. You'll hear somehow within 4 business days.
Aug 18Reply
celmaystermegg
celmaystermegg @ambarabella86 not true! She made up her own rules and got away with it! If I do not hear back from Poshmark I am goin viral to alert buyers and sellers if this scam. Poshmark needs to make changes and the only way they will do it is to be shut down or hit in the pocket book. I filed the claim that she only returned 1 of 3 items photos and a video with NO response and today it was closed today
Aug 18Reply
celmaystermegg
celmaystermegg @ambarabella86 no one answers any messages and I have sent to a if them. No phone and no email contact. Horrible business practice
Aug 18Reply
celmaystermegg
celmaystermegg @ambarabella86 I am in the media and going to expose them for unethical business practice on a program if they do not contact me or resolve this issue soon
Aug 18Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @celmaystermegg The only way that you're going to be able to turn this around is if you use Poshmark rules. If they closed the case in the buyers favor, she has to return the item to you. If one of her items she said was not as described, she has to return it to you before she gets her full refund. That's their policies. So go and look at the Poshmark rules, highlight it, and use it back towards them. I've said you need to contact their other places on Twitter and IG.
Aug 18Reply
celmaystermegg
celmaystermegg @ambarabella86 how do you contact them? The customer service email never responds and when I ask questions during a transaction I do kit get a response either
Aug 18Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @celmaystermegg Your other options is to contact the better business bureau. If it just closed, then she does have to ship back your item. That's their policies. So please go ahead and review the Poshmark selling and buying policies and use it against them. highlight their rules and use it against them. That is my advice. I have sold on this site for 4 years and has situations of returns. I've had to open a return, and I've had return open on me. It took them 5 days to case close.
Aug 18Reply
celmaystermegg
celmaystermegg @ambarabella86 this does not work! They do not respond even with documentation You obviously have never used this and should not be commenting if you do not know how Poshmark works
Aug 18Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @celmaystermegg My Chanel wallet was as described I had all the proof, they still allowed her to return it. So she did. She did mess it up, but they didn't care. She was able to get her refund. However I was able to have the item in my possession which ultimately on a return, that's what you want.

Aug 18Reply
celmaystermegg
celmaystermegg @ambarabella86 my dear, everyone knows that there is no way to reach Poshmark. Customer service never responds No phone number to call and the scams are abundant
Aug 18Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @celmaystermegg I understand you're angry, but you don't need to use that anger towards me. I just spent my time trying to be helpful. If it were me this is what I would do. I've seen thousands of complaints online about Poshmark. They will just add your complaint to their already long list of them online. People still continue to use the site. If you want some resolve, I recommend taking these steps. Especially contacting them on the multiple sites such as Twitter, & Instagram.
Aug 18Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @celmaystermegg Poshmark ruined a $3k rare Chanel at their Poshmark concierge, and they took very little to no accountability for their people screwing up my Chanel bag. They only offered me a $30 credit which it was offensive. I didn't take it. I'm aware that the site has bad communication. They don't always do the right thing that's why I recommend you taking these steps. flood w messages and they will get back to you. I also demand The supervisors. I request supervisors not customer service.
Aug 18Reply
celmaystermegg
celmaystermegg @ambarabella86 how do you tech a supervisor
Aug 18Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @celmaystermegg I've always been able to get through. I'm pretty persistent though. I contact them everyday on all three communication areas until someone replies. Same with my friends that sell on here and we sell luxury items. When you are writing them, you put Attention; Supervisor. You respectfully request for a supervisor of the department to contact you back. They do.
Aug 18Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @celmaystermegg I know you're upset and frazzled, the key is to just continue to write them and request a supervisor's response. I've always been able to get through. Sometimes it takes up to 8 days, but I've always gotten through. It's a risk selling on any selling platform, as you can see I started this thread because of a scam that was ran on me on a $1,200 Louis Vuitton.
Aug 18Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @celmaystermegg I happened to get screwed on a different selling site. However I've had frauds on this selling site as well. Anytime you sell, it's a gamble. You can also file complaints with the USPS. You can file a complaint at the IC3 unit. The links are above. You can file a complaint with the better business bureau on Poshmark. Just continue to message them until they respond. That's all I can recommend. Sorry this happened to you. Please keep us posted!
Aug 18Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @celmaystermegg I definitely think that you should file a IC3 crime report on your buyer. If she has stolen an item from you, you can also contact local police and get a case number. If you read the first several comments on this page you'll be able to see the recommended links.
Aug 18Reply
celmaystermegg
celmaystermegg @ambarabella86 I appreciate your info but this should be initiated by Poshmark not me They violated me as a seller by not responding to my documents this seller/buyer told me they new that it was just automated and she would be refundedSham on Poshmark
Aug 18Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @celmaystermegg There's been a lot of people that have gone through similar situations. Like I said, I just went through this couple months ago where the buyer was able to return an item that was accurately described. She was able to use it for a week and then return it. They never did reply except send me an email why they made the decision. You mean to tell me they never emailed you telling you why they ruled in buyer favor?
Aug 18Reply

celmaystermegg
celmaystermegg @ambarabella86 I B am going to expose Poshmark and their scams so be careful because scammers are going to learn how to get away with it
Aug 18Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @celmaystermegg That is true, sophisticated scams are committed often. That is why there are help links above. Those are the appropriate measures one takes if fraud is committed. If you sold a bundle over $500 then it went to the Poshmark authenticate team. Very rarely do they go against their own team members. When it goes to Poshmark authenticate, they also make sure it is as described in the listings. It's good that you took such good proactive measures.

ambarabella86 @celmaystermegg here's the thing, this post was to help people who have been scammed. These are the methods that have been found to be effective when someone pulls a scam. These are the methods and steps that you take. If you wish to create a listing that helps expose your experience, and you have the proof, then feel free to do that!
Aug 18Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @celmaystermegg You have options which you can do to report the buyer, I wish you all the best!
Aug 18Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @celmaystermegg I encourage you to create a listing on your closet talking about your experience and help other people know how to take steps to resolve it. This is something I created to help other people know what to do in the event of a fraudulent encounter. As you read there are links and closet names posted to warn others. I encourage you to do the same on your platform. It looks like you've done quite a bit of selling on here, so I hope you're able to get your resolution soon.
Aug 18Reply
ambarabella86

Aug 18Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @celmaystermegg I have taken time to give you the what I found effective. All you're doing now is trying to argue. It's up to you to follow the steps for a resolution. You haven't provided the closet name of the alleged buyer either. So please stop trying to pick an argument. You are being combative with me and I don't appreciate it. This is my closet, I've taken time to try to help you, it's up to you to follow through. Focus on resolving your matter.

ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @itz_isabel Hi, I'm so glad you messaged me! number one, do not give any personal information at all. Those are scammers, and the check would never be valid. Please do all transactions here on Poshmark that way you're protected. Do not privately give out your information or email anyone on here. You'll have no protection and most the time they are scammers! You can delete it by hitting the flag icon. Report spam

Aug 22Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @itz_isabel Because it is a identity theft scam. If she really wants your clothing, she will pay for it on here so that you have the protection of the site. If anything goes wrong you're on your own. These people try this kind of scam all the time. I've heard and seen the scam plenty of times. Please do not do it.
Aug 22Reply

Aug 22Reply

ambarabella86 @itz_isabel Do you see my reply? Next to my comments you will see a flag. That lady who said email me I'm interested in buying your item made a comment on the listing. You can delete them by clicking the little flag next to the comments. I definitely wouldn't respond. Just delete and do not communicate with anyone from on here that says hey Email me I'm interested in buying. They are spammers and scammers. A legit buyer will buy on here. no problems. aebee_1
aebee_1 Hi there!! I have a question for you about Posh scams—WHY do scammers list items over the $500 authentication threshold and then either cancel your purchase, only to list it again? These scams seem pointless to me...Today, I purchased outright a Chanel bag for $$$$. Two hours later, my bag is cancelled (reason was for a bundle?), the bag is available again, and I’m blocked by the seller. Clearly a scam, but makes zero sense.

ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @mandistadler Always look at their feedback. If they're a brand new seller, and they're selling high-end items only and there's only one available it's usually dishonest. Always look to see if the seller has a good rating and multiple successful sales!

caitlyn1294 Someone purchased an item in my closet. When I went to hit the username because it screamed scammer, it can no longer be found. Now when I go to my sales and hit the item sold, a new username comes up? A normal username but with a brand new account from this month and year. There’s no ratings or comments (since it’s new). How do I know this is not a scammer who will use my name and address? I’ve emailed posh recently and also used their fb messaging. I’m giving myself time before I send it off
Sep 11Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @caitlyn1294 Hello, there could be a couple different factors as to why the closet is not appearing. Please contact Poshmark and do not ship the item until you hear from them. sometime the app has a glitch, so you don't want to send anything in the mail until it's confirmed and a valid sale. I wish I had better answers, however sometimes new people don't have their information right or something's off. It gives them time to correct the information. Have a wonderful day!

Sep 14Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @uselectfashion Hi, how are you? So it could be a couple factors. The account may have had something that was not listed correctly such as their payment method or a incorrect email. Do not ship the bag yet. contact Poshmark via email on your sales history and ask them why you cannot see the buyer's closet. They will reach back out to you within 24 hrs.Don't worry, better to have the patience and hold on to it then lose it. I hope that the account is verified and everything works out for you. 💖

liloveslace @ambarabella86 hi! I just had something strange happen... I’m not sure what to make of it. Someone purchased a dress from me over the weekend and I shipped it this morning. When I looked at her page my dress (and my personal photos of me in the dress) is listed for sale. She hasn’t even received it yet and she’s not asking for a profit in her listing. Could this be some sort of scam?
Sep 22Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @litabrown Hello, That is kind of a strange situation. However, a lot of women will list an item to show people what they have coming as just showing. It's not good business practice to list an item before you've even received it to know the condition and to use your pictures without your permission. I would contact your customer and ask her about it. I don't think it's a scam because Poshmark will make sure you get your money or that you're covered. Write them too
Sep 22Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @litabrown Write Poshmark and Tell them that you shipped your customer's items and that it's listed for sale in their closet already using your personal pictures. That way you gave them a heads up.

thehandbagdiva @lslovbabe this is the scam where they will claim when it gets delivered that they didn’t get the item because they moved; and they were trying to contact posh to cancel because they realized the address hadn’t been updated. cafielding
cafielding I’m new to Poshmark and had a couple of inquiries on items in my closet. They asked to email them directly with additional photos. I’m concerned since the inquiries wanted to send a cashier check with the amount of the sale and additional money for my time. I think this is a shame on least on if the inquires stated they accidentally sent me to much money and wanted me to send the overpayment to their child. I could not find much online about these type of shames.
Oct 06Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @authentixxx If she left a review that means that she received the item and accepted the order. therefore I would contact Poshmark and tell them that you want the negative feedback removed based on the fact she received the item and was able to leave a feedback. Just so you know though the negative feedbacks usually away from preview if you have positive feedbacks.
Oct 07Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @authentixxx I'm sorry to hear this buyer was a bad buyer. I would recommend you turn the case over to Poshmark by contacting them on your sales history. You put problem with order or you can email them direct through the site. State what happened with the listing was the buyer's name and that she's making false allegations. You're asking them to please investigate the situation and remove the negative feedback.
Oct 07Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @cafielding Hi, do not email those people. Their scammers and they're usually fishing for personal information. I highly recommend that you only sell through the site. They discourage off-site transactions for this reason. If you sell through Poshmark, you're guaranteed seller protection at least. The checks are usually either a way to steal personal info. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. Most people are not going to overpay for an item w checks. Please sell through the Poshmark
Oct 07Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @cafielding There's a lot of comments on this listing, if you read through the comments you will find similar sellers who've had the same situation. You'll see the advice I've given them to. I would report the email there's a little flag icon next to their information. I recommend using the site only to buy and sell. Scammers know people are trusting by nature and take advantage. They can steal your identity and or harass you. If they want more pictures just create a double listing.

It sad since I was so excited for the two sales yesterday to find out they are scammers. I did a little background on the scammers, no email address has name associated and the telephone number is not registered to a person either. I work in the IT world and I was getting scammed. Unfortunately they both have my home address, damm move on my end.

annakozhokar1 Unfortunately I fell hard for a scam. I hate that I fell for it. I’m a new seller on here and was left a comment by @vvvvvvvvvvv6 a Linda Tracy Clara. Asked about sizing and wanted more pictures and to email her. I did and she said she had issues with online payments and she’d send a money order and will give extra $50 to hold. I fell for it and then said her husband accidentally sent her daughters medical bill funds and I’d need to send it back. I gave her my address name and phone number.

annakozhokar1
annakozhokar1 I ended up getting the money order and even deposited it until 2 hours after I did my boyfriend told me it has to be a scam so I went back to the bank and they told me not to touch the money even if it goes through because they think it was a scam too. So it’s on my account but they said it could get canceled. The people are telling me it’s not a scam and hello you have my money it’s deposited i need you to zelle it to my cousin.

annakozhokar1
annakozhokar1 So the addresses are fishy and the check came from Gilead Sciences. So i feel bad because what if it is someone’s medica bills and I’m holding it but also the bank said if the money stays in my account for 7 days they can reverse it and find the way back to who’s it is somehow. Has anyone dealt with a Linda Tracy Clara or the same story about her daughter and medical bills???

ambarabella86 @annakozhokar1 Hello, if you read through the comments on this listing there are several people that have had the same type of scam. People are not going to pay a deposit via check or pay higher. My advice is to sell through the site only. I think your boyfriend is right, this kind of scam is very common! I'm glad you've notified the bank. sophisticated scams can get all kinds of information with limited information. Please be careful!

ambarabella86 @annakozhokar1 It's like that show catfish. They know that it lowers the defenses if you say you have cancer, medical bills, sick relative, or someone just died. They will always have an excuse of that nature, even saying that their house just burnt down. Please please be very vigilant. scammers know how to lower the human defenses.
Oct 15Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @annakozhokar1 I had someone try to get me to lower my prices saying that they're home just burned down and they lost their job. If that was the truth, then obviously they would not be buying a new bag. they'd be taking care of the responsibilities. Just please be careful and please feel free to leave the closet name on the listing here to warn other people.

samanthajofit oh man.. I'm reading all of these horror stories and now I'm afraid to sell some items.. I just listed my old engagement ring for $5k (was retailed at $18k), is that safe to sell on here? or should I just forget it?
Nov 04Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @samanthajofit Hello, do not be scared to sell your high-end items here on this platform because all items over $500 go through Poshmark concierge for an authentication. As long as you do not try to sell your items off-site, you have the protection of the in-house authentication and approval. It lessens the risks of fraudulent returns and fraudulent buyers. I love the Poshmark concierge feature because it guarantees my items are authentic and as described!
Nov 04Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @samanthajofit I've also had customers try to open up faulty returns and because my items were hand inspected they lost their case. So all items over $500 go through Poshmark concierge authenticate team and they will prove the item and ship it to your buyer direct. It's a really good protection for the buyer and seller! I would list you a beautiful item! Please keep in mind they do take 20% seller fees, so please list your item accordingly factoring that in.

ambarabella86 @ndneih Hi, thank you so much for sharing! I keep warning new Poshers not to accept outside the site offers! #1, if it's too good to be true it is. #2 no one is going to overpay the amount. That should be a red flag right there. Do not ever give out personal information. Do not do outside transactions because you leave yourself open to fraud and scams. There are sophisticated scammers out there who want you to go message them. Don't do it! Don't accept Outside Offers or Checks!
Nov 04Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @ndneih That is another problem we've had on the site for newcomers. you'll get a comment when you list something and it will message to e m a I them. They will want you to message them. It's a sophisticated scam fishing expedition for personal information. They're not going to overpay for an item. I've read the deal offer even $50 over. That should make your eyebrows raised anyways. If it's too good to be true it is. Everyone should use Poshmark platform only. TRADES are risky too.
Nov 04Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 Anyone listing items and you get a message below the comment asking you to do a private message don't do it. If you're going to do a trade, make sure they have verified at least 10 positive history and can have live referrals. Vets have been scammed out of their high end bags! There is no guarantee when you do outside transactions or trades so the best thing to do is stick within the rules of the site. Posh strictly discouraged it because they cannot cover you if you do it. Be safe!
Nov 04Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 I have personally stopped doing trades for this reason. Women who had really good trade history and feedback were scamming. I have now limited my business to sales only and I will not do any off-site transactions. I know girls who do it on here and they're happy with it! However they're taking a gamble. Due to the monetary value of my inventory I can't afford a risk like that. If you know someone that has been scammed, please leave their closet name! Warn the Poshmark community!

ambarabella86 @katewv25443 So Sorry this happened! A option for using the Poshmark concierge is to sell the item $500 or more that they have to pay so that it goes through there concierge service. Paying part of the funds on a 3k bag seems the only way to protect your item. I've seen some ladies do it this way. Then they pay it back after the Trades good. The ladies have done deposits so that they can ensure that their trade will not fall through or any fraud will go on.
Nov 08Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @katewv25443 So basically the ladies have arranged some sort of deposit on these items if they are not familiar with the trade partner. sadly, Poshmark does not cover trades. I'm really sorry to hear this happened to you!
Nov 12Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @hannahp76 The police have to take your report regardless and give you a case number. From there, you generate a IC3 crime report. If you're lucky, the police officers are not busy, they'll even put in a phone call to the scammer on your behalf to encourage a return. outside of that, you could possibly do a civil lawsuit but that could be costly. It's a very difficult process unless the scam artist will send your item back.

ambarabella86 @gracehqma Hello, I'm sorry to hear you contacted those spammer scammers. from this point on, as long as your bank is aware of what's happening, they can monitor your account. I know they have your personal information now, oftentimes it is a fishing expedition. You can contact your local police to find out what steps you need to take. They can always offer you good advice. also contact your bank and find out what their recommendation is over the situation.
Nov 16Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @gracehqma I wouldn't call 911. I would reserve that only for emergencies. You can contact an non-emergency number or go online to your local department and file a fraud report. The first couple comments on this listing gives exactly what to do and the steps you need to take to file a internet fraud report. It's called the IC3 crime unit.

ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @mpande98 those people that leave their address to get a hold of off the site are scammers and spammers. They're trying to steal information. I would not contact them any further. If you do happen to receive a check, put return to sender. Do not deposit, it gives them access to your personal information. You can also turn it into your local police report and report this online scam. They are scammers, they're not legit.
Nov 21Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @mpande98 I highly recommend as the Poshmark site recommends do not do any off-site transactions. You're at risk anytime we buy or sell online, however we can minimize those risks by allowing the site to be the in between. Poshmark offers seller protection and buying protection. Please do not give out your personal information to anyone on the site. Especially the " I'll send you a check " scam. They gain access to your personal identity and it's used to steal from you in the future.

inga916 Hello, I’ve been on here for a long time and am really hesitant to trade. Also, I need feedback please: So a buyer (who looks like they are new to Posh, their account says they joined this month, Nov 2020) they JUST purchased a coat I have listed for over $200 and a bag that is listed for around $20. Before I send it out I am really worried that it seems fishy, and I’ve seen some people post about not selling higher-priced transactions to new accounts because of fraud. Thanks! Xo

inga916
inga916 Another concern of mine is the amount of counterfeit items on here. It isn’t just handbags anymore, I see high end skin care, perfumes, clothing, and it looks so close to the real thing that it is insane. I myself have received fake makeup from a seller, and I had to really research to prove my case because the packaging looked so close to the real thing, but the actual performance and quality was horrible. (And smell) it was an eyeshadow palette.
Nov 24Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @inga916 Hello, how are you? As far as with new buyers, allow the 4-hour grace time so that they can't back out. I've sold to probably 30 new people and high-end stuff and I never had an issue. As far as concerned about new buyers, I don't think that should be a problem. Poshmark does step in if there's problems. So, as long as you don't ship it out within the first hour of purchase allow that grace time to pass that they can't back out.
Nov 24Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @inga916 As far as with trades, that is discouraged by Poshmark. They do not cover trades at all. I do have links to where people can report being scammed, but it is very difficult to ever receive your item back. There is a trusted trade circle, and you can get credibility from them. As far as counterfeit, if you find that you receive a counterfeit item that you bought off the site here, they will reimburse you. Please feel free to leave closet names of possible alleged scammers. ⛔
Nov 24Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @inga916 Keep reporting counterfeit listings. eventually, Poshmark will have to step in and get rid of the listing. Sometimes it takes a few days. People who are selling known replica items shouldn't be on here! I hope that helps clear up your concern about selling to new buyers, trades, and what to do with counterfeit items being sold on the site. It is strongly discouraged and prohibited to sell fakes. I had same thing with fake makeup. It's annoying!

ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @inga916 Hi, Unfortunately it's up to Poshmark when cases are opened. Most the time they do side with the buyer unless you point out your listing shows all angles of the item and it absolutely was not damaged. I recommend that you take pre-packaging pictures. Take pictures of all angles, pictures of it going into the box and sealed with the label. Video as you're boxing it. PPl Ruined my ITEMS after using the hell out of them and getting refunds. I learned how to bring suits and it stopped.
Dec 03Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @inga916 My advice, is that you can test it in written form on the opened case. I recommend that you tell your buyer that you're sorry that you respectfully disagree. You sent the item with no damage. Poshmark will have to make their determination. My recommendation to you, is that you always do excellent prepackaging photos. Have at least but not limited to 15 Pictures. Time stamped Pictures are evidence.

Dec 03Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @inga916 I've also taken pre-packaging pictures and made a listing for the buyer. That way, they can see that I am shipping an item in the condition as listed. If they try to pull some sort of faulty return, I'm going to have them dead to rights. They're not going to get away with it in my store. It's not only a professional courtesy to my customers, but it deters a lot of the fraudulent returns that go on on here.
Dec 03Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @inga916 That's good, I would email Poshmark and send them all the pictures you can. When they respond to you, you can even add up to 10 pictures in their reply. So, send them everything you have on the day it shipped! That will help your case.

ambarabella86 SELLER BEWARE ⛔BAD BUYER ( kculliver ) on Poshmark. SELLER ALERT!🚫 I SOLD A BEAUTIFUL AUTHENTIC CHANEL FLAP First she tried to get me to buy off-site. She sent a offer that was thousands off my listed price. She asked if I would trade. She kept messaging me about it. I finally offered her a very generous discount given it was a very rare & expensive bag. It came with original receipt tag and was independently in house white glove Authenticated by two professionals.
Dec 05Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 Poshmark concierge authenticate team approved it and shipped it to her. She was happy with it and left me five star positive feedback. I also might mention that it came with an additional certificate of authenticity as well. That's three professional authentications that I'll say it's real. I sell vintage items all the time and I am very familiar with CHANEL. It is 100% real. She messages me demanding a refund because leather surgeons allegedly said it was fake.
Dec 05Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 after an item has been received and approved, there's nothing more that a seller can do. Once the customer accept the item the deal is done. I couldn't give her a refund. I also know that it's authentic. I was very kind and responsive with her. She made false allegations against me, the site, and the professionals that handled the item. She had my item for several weeks and then wants to return it. I call that a case of buyer's remorse. leather surgeons didn't say it was fake.

poor_jas Hi!! I stumbled upon this post and would like to ask a question. I had just posted a Gucci bag for $650. It was purchased by a new member to Poshmark. No reviews no photos no followers or anyone following. This person just became a member this month. I’m a bit worried after seeing these scam stories. Should I go through with sending or should I be cautious and cancel this order? Thank you for your time 😊
Dec 06Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @poor_jas That's usually not a good sign, especially if it's significantly lower than it should be. and it sounds to me to be not a valid seller. ask them to create another listing with more pictures. Just know though everything over $500 goes through Poshmark concierge. Do not buy off site. That's the best way to avoid scams.
Dec 06Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @poor_jas Poshmark authenticate team authenticates all items over $500. It goes to their facility for in house Authentication. If the seller does not communicate or tries to get you to buy off site don't buy it. It will tie up your money for over a week and then some trying to wait for your refund.

poor_jas
poor_jas @ambarabella86 I’m sorry I meant a new buyer had purchased my Gucci bag. I’m afraid of this new buyer requesting a return. I’ve never dealt with a new buyer so I’m just kinda scared.
Dec 06Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @poor_jas New buyers are okay. Don't ship it until at least next day. It goes to Poshmark Concierge anyway so and they ship it to buyer. I've sold to lots of new buyers and they work out just fine. Just wait the courtesy time frame.
Dec 06Reply
poor_jas
poor_jas @ambarabella86 thank you so much dear!! I deeply appreciate your help! I feel a whole lot better now 😊
Dec 06Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @poor_jas new to the site it isn't like other places. on different platforms I don't like selling to brand new buyers because they half the time won't pay. As long as you wait to ship That way it's not in route if they try to cancel it. I think they only have up to 3 hours to cancel then after that it's clear to ship. The real safety is that it goes to Poshmark concierge, and they will ship it to the buyer. They are the middleman once you ship it! It's great!
Dec 06Reply

mungojerry39 Should I sell to a new buyer that joined this month in december and has no profile pic or info
Dec 06Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @mungojerry39 If a buyer has just joined wait the 12 hours to ship. We were all new at some point. Poshmark protects transactions. Depending on what it is you're selling all items over $500 go to the Poshmark authenticate team. I've sold to new buyers and had very little issues. Maybe a handful. I recommend just waiting the cancellation period and once that has passed where they can't cancel ship.
Dec 07Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @mungojerry39 I think you'll be okay and you can always contact Poshmark if you feel something is sketchy before going forward. 🙂

ambarabella86 @merle67 A legit buyer will not ask for your personal information. Don't reply to those people who want you to send them a message. Do all transactions on Poshmark and they can protect you. It's a scam if they want to send a check in mail. The comments discuss this. Please be careful as and don't give out your personal information or accept checks. It's so they can steal your information and gain access to information.

t4729 @ambarabella86 I have a question, is there a 100% guarantee a person will not get their money until I get the item? I want to purchase some thing but I’m a little leery of the seller. Only one item and no feedback.
Dec 16Reply
t4729
t4729 They cancelled my order and wanted to do offline and I refused. Now it’s relisted at a higher cost to cover fees.
Dec 16Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @t4729 Hello, as part of Poshmark procedure is we the sellers do not receive funds until it's been delivered to buyer and buyer accepts the order. Sometimes buyer opens a case in which a return is granted. Buyers have up to 4 days to look merchandise over and accept the item so seller may be paid. I would not buy from a seller like that! also, I would report it as off-site transactions. That seller is breaking POSHMARK rules! Don't buy from them.
Dec 17Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @t4729 That seller is not doing the right thing by the customer. She sounds like she only will sell on off-site transactions and that's strictly prohibited by Poshmark.
Dec 17Reply
hunniecosmetics
hunniecosmetics Yes! This is the one thing I’ve heard of that scares me about selling on here. So I have video evidence of me at the post office, packaging the order and the buyers info LOL., I hope doing these steps will provide enough evidence in case any of those “return scams” happen.
Dec 18Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @mxxrvssa Very smart! Taking pre-packaging Pictures of all items and picture or videos of boxing and shipment label will help prevent buyer fraud. The same principal applies when receiving an item. Take a picture of the box, and opening it. If it's not as described you have the time stamped documentation. Please be safe out there sellers and buyers! Scams are escalating because of everyone being home. Internet theft is the highest crimes right now by volume.

She literally sent me pics and had my name on a sign beside the bag. we spoke several times.. then she called me on the way to the post office.. sent me videos of her dropping the bag off at fed ex and even send me a whole tracking number, it looked so real. But not
Dec 18Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @kschrisp Hi, I am so sorry that happened! In the first few comments you can file a crime report on that Seller. They have probably ran that scam hundreds of times. Every IC3 crime report counts!
Dec 19Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @kschrisp If you have their information, you can file a police report with your local precinct. Get a case # and notify their precinct in their area. She probably ran a lot of scams. It took me a couple months, but I was able to successfully get the lady that stole my Louis Vuitton in trouble. If every person that is a victim of internet crime or fraud would report it, they would have good cases and be able to have enough to file charges. Did you get your money back?

carriepique84 I am not a scammer. My uncle hacked my email account and also created several accounts in my name. That is why I blocked this account. He has the email accounts synced. that is why I blocked the account so people would not get scammed.
Dec 23Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @carriepique84 scamming people is a crime. If your uncle is indeed scamming people, then it should be turned in. Internet crimes do get prosecuted. Are we talking small stuff or we talking big?

ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @carriepique84 I was scammed out of a authentic Louis Vuitton and it was horrible! That's why I started this listing. I've also had faulty returns from buyers. It's never a good thing when dishonesty takes place. Internet scams are the highest theft right now because people are home from the virus.
Dec 24Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @kaystarkm I agree. I try my best to reach out to new commers. I have two listings up and one that is listed Scam🚫⛔that is for newcomers. Poshmark has it's policies when we sign up that they say that they do not allow outside transactions. I honestly do feel bad for those who email the spammers however their request to have the go off-site is red flag⛔ because any buyer wanting to communicate off-site should be considered a fraud. You can remove the messages by hitting flag icon next to it.
Dec 29Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @kaystarkm in my listings you can find the other one for the newcomers for Poshmark! perhaps you can leave them a message on there too warning Poshers. Thank you so much for sharing your story so we can do our best to report fraud and keep Poshmark a safe and fun selling and buying site! I honestly do not know why Poshmark hasn't done better to stop these communications where they're asking us to email them because anytime I try to put even the word, it flags my conversation.

Jan 05Reply
mare1040
mare1040 @ambarabella86 And I also noticed after the fact that she just joined in November 2020, she has no listings, Which was probably a sign but it give people the benefit of the doubt
Jan 05Reply
mare1040
mare1040 @ambarabella86 I am going to try and stick to the facts I've been selling items on the popular site Poshmark for almost a year with an exemplary standing and no issues until now. Mina Simmons purchased a bundle of 4 items after I interacted and said I would provide a good deal and free shipping. She bought the bundle of 2 Hollister items (jeans and shirt), one Garage shirt with tags still in tact and 1 Forever 21 sweater. This was all on Christmas Eve. I accepted, wrapped up nicely
Jan 05Reply
mare1040
mare1040 I put a note in as always also. Then on 1/2/21 she claimed I sent 2 incorrect items, I immediately checked and I know I sent the correct items. On the claim she uploaded photos of the incorrect items and they were not even articles of clothing I purchased, had tried to sell, etc. and my daughter can attest, as these are her clothes we are selling and she helps me. As the claim went on and she uploaded photos, she suspiciously uploaded a photo of the unopened box
Jan 05Reply
mare1040
mare1040 the label photo looked odd too, then she claimed one of the shirts had a 'stain', which was obviously deodorant, as she wore or tried the shirt on! I sent numerous emails to Posh with photos of my listings and attachments from other buyers, I would have owned up if I sent the wrong items, it was the holiday times, it could have happened but didn't. I take my little business seriously, as you all to too! After all that, Posh sided with her, she is supposedly going to send me everything back,
Jan 05Reply
mare1040
mare1040 I do not want clothes sent back to me that were not mine, is she going to sell them on anther fake profile, keep them? The one pair of jeans were Hollister, never worn and the other shirt had tags on it still! Will she just keep them, one can only guess all the motives and things she can do, but bottom line, she got over on me and Posh believed her, who came on only Nov 2020, no listings over a Posh Ambassador for almost a year that sold over $1600 and they made out on me with the fees!
Jan 05Reply
mare1040
mare1040 I just put a report on the FTC, this is not about the $ but principle! Then I saw a comment on her profile from another Posher and I asked how her transaction went and she said she found out she was a scammer and did not sell her the bundle! Found out she has other fake accounts this being one of them moonshine_13 Thanks for this outlet, after I get the $ from 2 other sales, I will probably come off here and boycott and tell people not to use this site :( I've been burned, humiliated
Jan 05Reply
mare1040
mare1040 @ambarabella86 Should I also file a complaint against Poshmark with the BBB ?
Jan 05Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @mare1040 Im sorry to hear what happened! Its so upsetting when scams are allowed to be done. I would respond to that email that you heard back from Posh on and request to hear back from a supervisor. That you plan to file a BBB complaint if you don't hear from the supervisor. Show your evidence in a well written email and let them know that you also are turning in the alleged scammer to the IC3 crime unit for internet fraud.
Jan 05Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @mare1040 In a detailed timeline with pictures, state what happened again. This buyer has had issues in the past. They can track her by her IP address. Make sure you turn in the closet, and continue to write Poshmark until you get the resolution you're seeking. Tell them that you will also move all your business off Poshmark. Is inconceivable that a buyer who has a history of scamming, could swap out clothing that you've never even seen and be able to keep that clothing.
Jan 05Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @mare1040 and I would definitely put it to Poshmark that you have a history of positive business. That you take it extremely serious to have integrity, honesty, and represent your items accurately. You've never had an issue until this new buyer purchased these items and swapped them out with used clothing. continue to turn it in to Poshmark until you hear back from the supervisor. I would highly recommend that you follow all the complaint links in first comments and file a USPS mail fraud.
Jan 05Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @mare1040 Posh will probably offer you a credit, however the objective here is to make sure that Poshmark is aware that this new buyer has created other closets and pulled this scam before. In writing state that this is theft. You photographed the items you sent and have never seen the clothes she's trying to return. You can also refuse the package, but I would accept it open it up take pictures of what she sent you, and continue to write Poshmark until you hear back from the supervisor.
Jan 05Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @mare1040 You can also pull up this person's name through the freedom of information act and see if she has a criminal record. Most the time these type of internet scammers that swap have a history of retail theft. It's public information. That might also help you to convince Poshmark and the BBB that you're going to take it as far as you need to. It's not about the money, it's about preventing other sellers from having to go through this and prevent fraud and theft.
Jan 05Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @mare1040 My good friend on here had the same thing happen. However, she was able to dispute the claim. She showed her item and the item that this scammer was trying to return was not even hers. It wasn't in her closet. I told her what to do and after requesting to speak to the supervisor that handles return cases, She was able to dispute it and get her money. I would definitely see what this alleged scammer returns to you. Absolutely dispute this all the way!
Jan 05Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @mare1040 The scammer GORDANA that stole my Authentic LV and swapped with a China fake had a son that was a professional theif. She also had a criminal record in retail and petty theft. Her son was constantly in and out of the joint for theft big and small. However, for some reason in Florida they keep letting them go. Seems like they have no inncentive to change. She eventually was caught again and had to pay steep fines. The sad thing is it usually takes a lot of complaints and legal action.
Jan 05Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @mare1040 Options are that you can also file a police report. That way you can get a case number. You can contact your local department and file a fraud report and theft. They have to give you a case number. Very easy to fill out a criminal complaint. Once you have that case number, you present it in your full complaint. You can also file a complaint in her own city so that her local law enforcement is aware of her alleged criminal activity. USPS- file a mail fraud complaint.

ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @miamihustler305 I would definitely sell all items through Poshmark. I would not go off site at all. It is a scam. They do that on other sites too where they ask you to ship to a different location. You never get your money back and the item. Please leave the closets names of the scams from overseas. That way we can warn our community. Thank you so much for reporting this suspicious and fraudulent behavior.
Jan 07Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @universalhuman Hello, if a buyer in the future wants you to ship to a different address, they need change it through the site. I recommend courtesy several hours to make sure that the sale is valid and they can't cancel. I would report this situation to Poshmark and see if they can help you. Unfortunately, when a scammer wants you to ship it to a different address very rarely do you get the item back or the funds. I'm really sorry to hear this happened. leave their name here.
Jan 07Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @bourgy64 Please leave their closet names here so that people can be warned. All items over$500 go to Poshmark Concierge for an authentication. That's probably why she keeps changing the price. I would definitely report the closets for fraud. It's a fishing scheme to steal information. They're really smart and convincing on how they get buyers to buy off the site so that they have no protection. Please file a report at the agencies in the first few comments on this listing.
Jan 07Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @bourgy64 I have several links above where you can file a report. Internet theft and fraud is the fastest growing issue in the world. There are many sophisticated scams. Please report the listings and closets to Poshmark. That way they can take them down. Please contact Poshmark support too. Hopefully it prevents another person from being scammed.

ambarabella86 @mare1040 You need to contest it with Poshmark that she sent you items you did not sell to her. That you are wanting your items back. Take pictures and upload it to the complaint where she open the case.

ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @mare1040 If they allow people to get away with it on poshmark people are not going to want to sell their items here. There has to be a level of protection about not getting the return money to her because she didn't send you back your items. If she wants a return she's going to have to send you items that belong to you.

mare1040 @ambarabella86 Hi and agree 100%, after this, I am off Poshmark unfortunately. I've sent emails with the video I took and photos and have contested this! will keep you posted and thank you for all your support and advice !

ambarabella86 @mare1040 Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I am so sorry that happened to you. I hope this bad buyer returns your items and or you receive your payment. You definitely should tell Poshmark you're in a file with the BBB if they don't resolve it. Make sure you request a supervisor of Poshmark. Please keep us posted!

kimberlyharshfi @amy_janis I hear you there! how dare ANYONE rip someone off on here! Every single person I've dealt with on Poshmark have ALL been super sweet. I wouldn't dream of taking advantage of anyone. it's really a shame when great people are just trying to make a couple of extra bux, and the rest of us are just looking for a great deal. anybody that would scam someone here should be ashamed!!! 😲

llola2020 I am new to Poshmark and did not know what was going on. I was just scammed and didn't know... My co-worker did some research for me and told me not to go thru with it. This person sent me a check for $1800 and a detailed letter. After doing some more research for myself, I reported them to poshmark @paul5oo also know as Uuurrurrururiu

janederella
janederella Hey I'd suggest you not to purchase from courtneycamp538. She sold a few items to me and a few other buyers and shipping labels were created so it looked like they were shipped, but never actually accepted by USPS. Poshmark ended up cancelling all of our orders so we all got our refunds, but they still gave her her proceeds from the sales because they treated them as "lost shipments". Wow right? So I hope you don't fall for this thing that I suspect is a scam

janederella
janederella After I purchased a bag from her, she relisted the item again and again, saying she has more of the same item. Then another buyer purchased it and somehow experienced the same issue as me. It's crazy how PM still fell for her scam and paid her for these phantom sales. The bag I bought from her is sold out and hard to find, literally sold out in 2 minutes from the official site... and somehow she's sold 5 of them!

janederella
janederella I and the other victims have reported her acc (COURTNEYCAMP538) to Poshmark but her account is still live. If you guys can help us report her account, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you. One of the buyers have filed a police report at seller's local town too

vhodzic314 I have never sold a single item worth over 200, and today i listed my brand new apple watch that i want to sell. A person commented on the listing asking how fast can i ship it, the persons account was just created this month and they have no reviews or notes or anything on their profile....Am i being paranoid???

ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @kstockert Please contact your bank to contest charges of fraud if Poshmark doesn't refund all your money. They will file a case on your behalf. Please keep us posted and who the name of the closet is. Sorry to hear that happened to you!

ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @llola2020 I am glad you didn't go through with it. It's definitely a scam! Don't accept outside transactions because Poshmark can't protect you if they do. It's one of The major scams that occurs on Poshmark is people wanting to send checks. especially if they want to pay more than what the items worth too. Just delete and block these people!
Jan 21Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @vodkalemonade It's definitely a scam! Do not do any transactions outside of Poshmark or they cannot protect you. It's one of the major scams that occurs on this platform. You can hit the flag icon, and report it as spam. I would also take it a step further and contact Poshmark support and report the closet.

ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @janederella That's terrible! I am so glad that you listed her account here. She definitely has no business being here on Poshmark. I encourage everyone to continue to report the account and report it to Poshmark customer service.
Jan 21Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @vhodzic314 As long as they pay for it through Poshmark, Poshmark will protect the purchase. If they try to get you to go outside of Poshmark then they can't. Please be very careful with all your transactions! Wishing you the best of luck!

vhodzic314 @ambarabella86 Im worried about someone trying to switch the item with a broken one and then try to return it, or doing something of that sort to get a refund. I would hate for poshmark to side with the buyer. Im thinking of taking lots of pictures and video of the item being packaged

ambarabella86 @vhodzic314 I have had luxury bags used and then they return them all messed up! I would call that a fraulty return. I had a hand full. not on here though. Poshmark review's my items so if a buyer lies and they have they don't win.

rudderb
rudderb Seems to be an increase in buyer fraud. Trying to use your items and then claiming not the item in order to return used item or switch item. Makes me reluctant to sell to anyone- happened especially if buyer just joined and has no items listed and just followed a few persons. I think Poshmark needs to do a better job protecting sellers

Jan 26Reply
ambarabella86
ambarabella86 @katherinetaytay We should definitely beware of a seller that charges you that much and doesn't explain what happened. I am thinking she did it on purpose if she didn't reply I am sorry I will get the right item out right away. Yes open a case! Poshmark will want you to return the socks. Maybe you can buy another dress for your birthday. So sorry that happened to you. Please keep us posted! You can also contest charges with bank too!
