rOtring Core Lysium Fountain Pen, XL (bold) nib, used once. Out of production for several years, these are becoming difficult to find. This weird-looking pen is absolutely brilliant for handwriting. The odd-looking grip is actually very comfortable. The enormous cap is more than half the weight of the pen. When posted, it feels hefty and well-balanced. If you prefer a lighter pen, use it without the cap. rOtring makes a very good pen (my daily is a rOtring 600 rollerball), and their nibs are superb. This weird-looking pen is no exception--very, very smooth and quite wet. This pen has a unique feature: when installing a new cartridge, a strong twist is required to screw it together, as two levers press into the sides of the new cartridge. This squeezes a bit of ink into the pen so you don't have to wait as long to use it - stand it up in a cup for a minute or so, that's it. You can use an adapter if you prefer (not incl.). Uses standard international cartridges. I used it a few times and decided it is not for me - I use fountain pens for illustration. Please not this has been thoroughly cleaned since these photos were taken, and looks shiny/new. If you know what this is, you know it is worth the asking price (price is FIRM).
